How to Import or Export your Blogger blog? ~ Daily Blogger Tricks

Blogger blog is simply the best. Blogger Team work hard to enhance the features and make the users experience in blogging comfortable and much easier. Today I will going to discuss an important feature in blogger that some of you is neglecting. Maybe, your are wondering what is the use of import and export button that can be found in Blogger settings | Other Tab. The import and export features on Blogger give your content a whole new range of portability and freedom, allowing you to save a copy of your blog on your hard drive, or import your blogs into other existing blogs.

How to export your Blog?

Remember, Exporting your blog will make your blogger content stored as a Blogger export file (.xml) file which can be kept as a backup on your hard drive or imported into another blog. Exported blogs are not deleted from your dashboard or from Blogger.com. Follow this simple process.

Log in to your Blogger's Dashboard
Go to the Settings | Other Tab
Click on "Export Blog" Button.

Now hit "Download Blog" button.

Press "OK" Button to save your blog.

After downloading your Blogger Content, finally hit the "Close" button.

Export process Done, you are ready to import your content to other existing blog or make a new one.

How to import your Blog?

Keep in mind that your current template will not be affected by imported content.

Log in to your Blogger's Dashboard
Go to the Settings | Other Tab
Click on "Import Blog" Button.

Browse your Blogger export file (.xml) from your hard drive. Remember where you save it

Now, fill out the word verification beneath. If you can't read, Click the Refresh Button at the right side.

By default, all your imported post will be publish. If you would rather choose what to publish or not, make sure you unchecked the box next to Automatically publish all imported posts before you click Import Blog.
